WSH Officer

Responsibilities:

• Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act

• Implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local and international regulations.

• Establish, conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and management.

• Coordinate and investigate workplace accidents and incidents, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.

• Provide technical advice and support to management and employees on health, safety and wellbeing matters.

• Support of the construction site management in the implementation of the project-specific HSE Program Site (incl. related documents, e.g. Safe Work Procedures)

• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.

• Conduct regular inspections of workplace, equipment, and tools to ensure they meet safety standards.

• Maintain records and reports related to health and safety matters.

• Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations and implement necessary changes.

• Build and maintain relationships with relevant regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field.

• At least 6 years of relevant work experience in a safety management role.

• Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower

• Registered Environmental Control Officer with National Environment Agency

• Knowledge of WSH Act and other related regulations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
