Responsibilities:
Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act
Implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local and international regulations.
Establish, conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and management.
Coordinate and investigate workplace accidents and incidents, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
Provide technical advice and support to management and employees on health, safety and wellbeing matters.
Support of the construction site management in the implementation of the project-specific HSE Program Site (incl. related documents, e.g. Safe Work Procedures)
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of workplace, equipment, and tools to ensure they meet safety standards.
Maintain records and reports related to health and safety matters.
Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations and implement necessary changes.
Build and maintain relationships with relevant regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field.
At least 6 years of relevant work experience in a safety management role.
Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower
Registered Environmental Control Officer with National Environment Agency
Knowledge of WSH Act and other related regulations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
