Job Description

Safety Coordinator (EHS/WSH)

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the WSHO and ECO in all EHS-related tasks as assigned by the WSHO, ECO, or Project Manager
  • Conduct EHS induction training for new employees, workers, and contractors
  • Ensure that Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Environmental Aspect & Impact Registers are properly communicated and understood by workers and subcontractors
  • Assist the WSHO in carrying out site safety inspections and ensure all non-compliances are recorded, tracked, and closed out promptly
  • Support the planning and coordination of safety briefings, Toolbox Meetings, and other EHS campaigns, training sessions, and programmes
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all safety-related activities
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by Management

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a similar EHS role (preferably in construction)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiar with Safety Management Systems and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Possess relevant Workplace Safety & Health certifications (e.g. WSH Coordinator Course recognized by Workplace Safety and Health Council)
