Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated Fresh Graduate to join our team as a Junior Cloud Engineer. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates to kick-start their career in cloud engineering. You will gain hands-on experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure while working closely with senior engineers.
This role is execution-focused and designed for continuous learning in cloud technologies, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (Kubernetes/EKS). You will help maintain a stable, secure, and scalable cloud environment while rapidly developing your technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Engineering Support
- Assist in deploying and maintaining AWS infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
- Support system availability, performance, scalability, and security under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Help manage core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and Load Balancers.
- Follow cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, and monitoring.
- Participate in backup, disaster recovery, cost monitoring, and basic troubleshooting tasks.
Infrastructure Automation & Kubernetes (Learning & Support)
- Learn and support Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Assist in managing Amazon EKS clusters and container-based deployments.
- Help automate environment provisioning and configuration tasks.
CI/CD & Deployment Support
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Assist with application deployments to cloud and container environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes.
Skills & Requirements
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates preferred).
- 0-1 year of relevant experience (internships, academic projects, or personal projects are highly valued).
- Basic knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, etc.) - through university projects, certifications, or self-learning.
- Understanding of Linux fundamentals.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies quickly and take guidance from seniors.
- Good problem-solving attitude and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (or currently pursuing).
- Exposure to Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes through projects or internships.
- Familiarity with any CI/CD tool (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Exposure to Azure or GCP is a plus.
