Workshop Manager - Automotive

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily paint shop operations, including vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and job scheduling.
• Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate manpower allocation to optimise productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Supervise mechanics and technicians, ensuring work is carried out professionally and safely.
• Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Enforce company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.
• Conduct final inspections on completed jobs where required to ensure workmanship quality.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, equipment handling, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and proper usage of workshop tools and equipment.
• Assist in handling customer enquiries, explanations of repair work, and service recommendations when needed.
• Support the Management Team in resolving customer complaints or service issues professionally.
• Assist in maintaining job records, service reports, inventory usage, and internal documentation.
• Support stock monitoring for parts, tools, and consumables, and report shortages when necessary.
