We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented WSH Officer to support our Group's safety strategy and ensure strong WSH compliance across all projects. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the WSH Manager to drive safe work practices, strengthen our Safety Management System (SMS), and build a proactive safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce WSH policies in accordance with company standards, MOM regulations, and recognised industry practices.
  • Keep safety procedures updated to meet regulatory and audit requirements (OSHA, Environmental, ISO, client audits).
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, including risk assessments, incident reports, permits, and statutory submissions.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and non-compliance.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are carried out promptly.
  • Check equipment, machinery, tools, and PPE to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments (RA), safe work procedures (SWP), and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
  • Identify and mitigate workplace risks arising from activities, processes, and surrounding conditions.
  • Conduct incident investigations including fact-finding, evidence collection, and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare investigation reports and track follow-up actions.
  • Ensure timely submission of incident reports to relevant authorities.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, induction training, and refresher programmes.
  • Promote a strong and proactive safety culture, encourage reporting of unsafe acts/near-misses, and engage workers and subcontractors on safe practices.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of WSH Act, regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience in site inspections, RA, incident investigation, and safety documentation.
  • Good communication and engagement skills, with the ability to work with operational teams, subcontractors, and management.
  • Proactive, responsible, and committed to creating a safe working environment for everyone.
