Job Description

Our client, a well-established local A1 main contractor with over 40 years of proven success in the construction and real estate sector, is seeking an experienced and committed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to join their project team in Singapore.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring Workplace Safety, Health & Environmental (WSHE) excellence across building construction projects, while ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and fostering a strong safety culture on site.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and maintain effective WSHE work plans in collaboration with project teams.
  • Coordinate and drive WSH programme initiatives and conduct MSRA reviews with appropriate risk control measures.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to identify improvement areas and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with MOM and all statutory WSHE requirements at all times.
  • Prepare and submit WSHE reports, data, and monthly safety statistics to Management.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise the site safety team while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Liaise with relevant Authorities on safety matters, audits, and inspections.
  • Perform other WSHE-related and ad-hoc duties as directed by Management.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) registration with MOM.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Singapore building construction projects.
  • Preferably with recent experience (within the last 5 years) working as a WSHO on building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of WSHE regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Self-driven team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Salary: Competitive range up to $7,000
