Our client, a well-established local A1 main contractor with over 40 years of proven success in the construction and real estate sector, is seeking an experienced and committed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to join their project team in Singapore.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring Workplace Safety, Health & Environmental (WSHE) excellence across building construction projects, while ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and fostering a strong safety culture on site.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and maintain effective WSHE work plans in collaboration with project teams.
- Coordinate and drive WSH programme initiatives and conduct MSRA reviews with appropriate risk control measures.
- Carry out regular site inspections to identify improvement areas and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with MOM and all statutory WSHE requirements at all times.
- Prepare and submit WSHE reports, data, and monthly safety statistics to Management.
- Lead, coach, and supervise the site safety team while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Liaise with relevant Authorities on safety matters, audits, and inspections.
- Perform other WSHE-related and ad-hoc duties as directed by Management.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) registration with MOM.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Singapore building construction projects.
- Preferably with recent experience (within the last 5 years) working as a WSHO on building projects.
- Strong knowledge of WSHE regulations and best practices in construction.
- Self-driven team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
