Workplace Safety & Health Officer

Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor health & safety and environment management procedures and practices at work site
• Implement safety procedures at work, enforce safety regulations and promote safety culture
• Conduct daily inspection and take follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance
• Industrial incident & accident investigation
• Conduct safety induction/ tool-box meeting / training and emergency drills
• Develop safety & emergency response procedures and spearhead safety committee, etc.
• Ensure proper documentation for all safety, environmental and health disciplines.
• Conduct Risk assessment and implementation of risk control measures at workplace.

Requirements:

• Possess relevant qualification and is a Registered Safety Officer with MOM
• Knowledge of WSHA and OSHA legislation as well as BizSafe
• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Safety Officer in MRT / LTA project with Main Contractor.
• Strong communication skills in both mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate effectively with site personnel, workers and subcontractors.
• Team player with passion for driving excellence, good facilitation skills, strategic change management and intervention capabilities.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and be proactive in addressing improvement opportunities.
• Ability to work efficiently using Microsoft Office applications
