WORKPLACE SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER

1. Safety Compliance & Enforcement

. Ensure full compliance with Singapore WSH Act, regulations, codes of practice, and MOM requirements

. Advise management on safety and health matters at worksites

. Ensure risk control measures are implemented and maintained

. Liaise with MOM, inspectors, and external auditors on WSH matters

2. Risk Assessment & Control

. Conduct Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Procedures (SWP)

. Review and update risk assessments regularly or when work conditions change

. Ensure high-risk activities comply with approved safety measures

3. Site Inspection & Monitoring

. Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits

. Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions

. Monitor housekeeping, PPE usage, and worksite safety practices

4. Incident Investigation & Reporting

. Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses

. Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend preventive measures

. Report incidents to MOM where required

5. Training & Safety Promotion

. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings

. Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture among employees

. Maintain training records and ensure workers attend mandatory safety courses

6. Documentation & Records

. Maintain WSH documentation including RA, SWP, permits, inspection checklists, and training records

. Prepare monthly safety reports and statistics

. Ensure proper filing and record retention as required by MOM

7. Emergency Preparedness

. Develop and implement emergency response plans

. Conduct emergency drills and evacuation exercises

. Ensure emergency equipment is available and properly maintained

8. Coordination & Communication

. Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers on safety matters

. Attend safety meetings and represent the company in WSH-related discussions
