Job Summary
Assist in implementing and continuously improving the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment at construction project sites.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Integrated Management System for QEHS to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance
- Identify and assess foreseeable workplace and process risks to prevent incidents and protect personnel
- Recommend practicable risk elimination or mitigation measures to the Project Manager to enhance site safety
- Organize and promote EHS activities and campaigns to increase safety awareness among all site personnel
- Review the EHS Management System regularly and propose improvements to optimize safety performance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, codes of practice, and company EHS policies at project sites
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor adherence to safety standards and identify hazards
- Lead monthly safety committee meetings to facilitate communication and continuous improvement in EHS matters
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to integrate safety management and meet project timelines
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by management to support overall EHS objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- WSQ Certificates, Diploma, or Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent qualification
- Registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience managing workplace safety in construction environments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- ECO Certification (Environmental Control Officer)
