- Responsible for all safety, health and environmental issues on various project sites, factory within the company
- Organize safety & health training and promotional activities, identifying hazards and advice control measures
- Manage a variety of environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities to ensure that the organization complies with external EHS regulations and standards as well as internal environmental policies and EHS management systems
- Monitor environmental performance and identifying risks or areas for improvement, conducting safety & health audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment practices and working conditions
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HSE professionals to ensure that the organization's HSE strategies is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards
- Initiate investigation into all accidents or incidents or dangerous occurrences and recommend corrective or preventive measures to prevent recurrences
- Ensure that the environmental issues such as drainage, noise monitoring, pollution control and pest control are implemented in accordance to the statutory requirements and advise site staff / factory worker accordingly
- Advocate and inculcate a strong safety culture within the company
- Conduct tool box meeting/ safety talk for workers every day and keep proper attendance records.
- Conduct daily site safety inspection to identify unsafe acts and conditions created or practiced by the sub-contractors, recommend/ ensure appropriate control measures are implemented and document it.
- Carry out accident/ incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented
- Conduct/ Review Risk Assessments
- Manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of the dormitory and dormitory's facilities.
- Establish and Coordinate Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP), drills and the maintenance of emergency response/ fire-fighting equipment.
- Taking the role of Management Representative (MR) for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications and Surveillance 3rd party Audits.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Minimum Advanced Certificate in Workplace, Safety, Health and Environment as stipulated in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower's accepted WSH-related qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the Construction industry
- Certification in Lifting Supervisors Safety Course
- Certification in Managing Working at Height Course
- MOM registered WSH Officer
