Job Description

Role: Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) - Rail Infrastructure

Location: Singapore

About the Role:

Navsar Global is seeking a highly diligent and certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to join a critical rail infrastructure project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of safety during the installation phase of a major Communications (COMMs) project. The successful candidate will act as an independent safety authority, reporting directly to the Client's Safety Head Manager, ensuring all site activities align with stringent regulatory and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive weekly safety inspections across project sites, primarily during engineering hours (night shifts), to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Develop and submit detailed weekly inspection reports, incorporating photographic evidence and actionable insights for the management team.
  • Act as an independent safety representative, providing direct reporting and updates to the Client's Safety Head Manager.
  • Attend emergency meetings at the Health and Safety Office (HSO) or designated LTA sites in the event of any safety incidents or near-misses.
  • Oversee safety protocols specifically for Communications (COMMs) system installations, while maintaining the flexibility to be deployed to other project sites as required.
  • Ensure all site operations strictly adhere to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Building and Construction Authority (BCA), and Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance on LTA rail safety requirements, particularly regarding installation works and track access.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • Proven experience and certification specifically related to LTA rail requirements, with a focus on installation projects.
  • Deep familiarity with LTA safety procedures, engineering hour protocols, and rail environment hazards.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to produce high-quality photographic safety reports.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of professional integrity.
  • Willingness to work engineering hours (night shifts) and travel between various LTA project sites.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with the Client's Safety Head and LTA stakeholders.
