Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) (5.5 Days)

The Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) will oversee all safety, health, and environmental matters across a portfolio of projects, supporting operations in various sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable Workplace Safety, Health and environmental regulations and statutory requirements
• Establish, implement and maintain effective WSHE management systems, including documentation, administration and records
• Support the WSHE Committee by coordinating meetings, maintaining minutes and advising members on safety responsibilities and best practices
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Plan and deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and training programmes for staff and site personnel
• Investigate incidents, near misses and accidents, prepare reports and recommend measures to prevent recurrence
• Monitor and ensure that risk assessments and control measures are properly implemented and adhered to on site
• Exercise authority to intervene, suspend unsafe activities or escalate concerns to the Project Manager where non-compliance or unsafe conditions are observed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a recognized Specialist Diploma (or equivalent) in Workplace Safety, Health and Environmental Management, in line with local regulatory requirements
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within the construction industry
• egistered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the relevant authority in Singapore

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Salary: Up to $8,500 (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
