Job Summary
Carry out duties as specified by WSH Act.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the EHS management system to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards
- Conduct daily Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) inspections of machinery, equipment, plant, and installations to identify hazards and enforce safety controls
- Act as the Site EHS Assessor to verify hazardous works and ensure safe execution
- Deliver EHS induction courses to new employees and contractors to promote safety awareness and compliance
- Communicate Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures effectively to workers and subcontractors to ensure understanding and adherence
- Identify WSH hazards on site and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks
- Prepare and submit monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Permit to Work documentation in accordance with Main Contractor requirements
- Monitor and maintain accurate EHS records and checklists to support compliance and audit readiness
- Participate in and facilitate Internal and External EHS audits to ensure continuous improvement
- Investigate and report all WSH incidents and near misses promptly to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
- Conduct WSH and related training sessions to enhance workforce safety competence
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Management to perform additional duties as assigned
Required competencies and certifications
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH with Refresher Course
- Work at Heights (WAH) Assessor Certificate
- Risk Management Course
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry safety management
- Demonstrated responsibility, positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Other Information
- Weekly work schedule: 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday)
