Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (Elias Road)

Responsibilities:

1) Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.

2) Monitor workers's compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.

3) Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure that safe work practices are carried out in all work operations and compliant with the WSH Act requirements, standards and practices.

4) Assist in investigating incidents, near misses and unsafe acts/conditions.

5) Recommend and implement continuous improvements by coordinating safety awareness trainings, programs and initiatives.

6) Perform risk assessments, safety procedures and rectify any gaps to ensure full compliance with the statutory requirements.

7) Preparation and submission of WSH reports, checklists and Permit-to-work in accordance to the statutory requirements and standards.

8) In charge of safety documentation and controls.

9) Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.

10) Assist with site induction for all new personnel entering the project.

11) Attend required safety meetings and audits.

12) Perform any other duties as assigned by HSE Manager/Project Manager.

Requirements

1) Minimum 5 years of WSH working experience in building construction industry as WSH Coordinator.

2) Possess Advance Certification in WSH or Safety Coordinator Certificate.

3) Possess Work at Height Assessor Certificate or Managing Work at Height.

4) Strong knowledge of local WSH regulations and safety practices.

5) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

6) Team player with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented.

7) Able to work independently and conduct site inspection duties when required.

8) Must be able to do 12 hour shift work.

9) Must have MRT tunnelling WSHC work experience.

10) Immediate availability will be an added advantage.

Salary will commensurate with work experience.
