We are seeking a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator to support our dynamic fulfilment operations. This role is central to implementing WHS policies and ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations. You will work closely with operations teams to manage daily safety risks, conduct risk assessments, complete compliance tasks, and promote a strong safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and apply safety procedures, work instructions, and training content.
- Partner with operations teams to implement safety measures and train floor managers on WHS responsibilities.
- Conduct daily safety inspections/walkarounds, addressing hazards in collaboration with team leads.
- Assist in reviewing and updating risk assessments, safety procedures, and training materials.
- Participate in safety walks and meetings, providing insights into unsafe acts and conditions.
- Monitor facility changes and initiate reviews of risk assessments as required.
- Track completion of safety actions, escalating unresolved issues when necessary.
- Support training compliance, including legally required WHS courses, and deliver specific training as assigned.
- Participate in injury investigations and follow up on corrective action plans.
- Coordinate safety campaigns, communications, and toolbox meeting content with relevant teams.
- Support audit activities and ensure closure of identified action items.
- Manage WHS-related supplies, procurement status, and recordkeeping.
- Respond to site-specific safety requests, unplanned events, and operational needs.
