The role
We are seeking a Workflow Developer to support the design, development, and optimization of automated business workflows. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into structured, reliable, and scalable workflow solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Workflow Development & Automation
- Develop, configure, and enhance workflow applications to support business processes and improve operational efficiency
- Build and integrate automated processes using scripting, logic rules, and event triggers
- Design data models, relationships, and structures to ensure workflow scalability and maintainability
- Optimize workflows for performance, usability, and long-term system sustainability
- Integration & System Enhancement
- Integrate applications with APIs and third-party systems to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability
- Perform troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements of existing workflows
- Ensure proper deployment using version control and structured release pipelines
- Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Conduct unit testing and collaborate with stakeholders during functional and UAT testing
- Maintain technical documentation including architecture, data structures, logic rules, and integration flows
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, audit requirements, and best practices in workflow development
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with internal teams to understand business and system requirements and convert them into automated solutions
- Participate in workflow mapping, business process analysis, and solution design discussions
- Recommend improvements to existing workflows and processes based on system insights and operational feedback
Who we look for - the ideal profile:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- Hands-on programming experience in JavaScript, HTML/XML, and/or languages commonly used in workflow platforms
- Experience in API development or integration with external services and platforms
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices including deployment pipelines, environment setup, and version control
- Experience in data structure design, database optimization, and schema management
- Proven ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving approach
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple development tasks concurrently
- Familiarity with business process mapping and workflow automation concepts preferred
- Exposure to workflow platforms (e.g., NetSuite SuiteScript, Microsoft Power Automate, Cognito, Nintex, Zapier, etc.)
- Experience in process management, digital transformation, or low-code/no-code platforms
- Understanding of enterprise system configuration, testing frameworks, or sandbox development environments
