Workday Financials (FIN) Analyst / Consultant
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Analyst/Consultant to support the configuration, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Workday Financial Management solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to analyse requirements, configure Workday Financials modules, perform testing activities, and support production deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements and assess enhancement requests for Workday Financial Management modules.
- Configure and maintain Workday Financials, including Core Financials, Procurement, Financial Reporting, and related modules.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.
- Support business process configuration, approval workflows, and security configuration where required.
- Coordinate and execute system testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, and user guides.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues while ensuring timely delivery of enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system improvements and production releases.
- Ensure system configurations comply with organisational governance and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting or implementing Workday Financial Management.
- Experience configuring Workday Financials modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, or Financial Reporting.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting business processes.
- Experience with Workday Business Process configuration, Security Groups, and Calculated Fields.
- Experience preparing functional specifications, documentation, and test scripts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Workday Financials certification.
Experience with Workday Composite Reporting, Matrix Reports, or other Workday reporting tools.
Experience working in large enterprise or multi-project environments.
Knowledge of governance, change management, and release management processes.
