About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI-RAN Algorithm Engineer to join our R&D team and work on next-generation wireless communication technologies.
The role focuses on wireless communication algorithms, 5G/5G-Advanced, O-RAN and AI-native RAN technologies, with opportunities to contribute to industry standards, advanced research, patents, and the commercialization of innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and optimize wireless communication and RAN algorithms for 5G-Advanced and next-generation 6G systems.
- Work on AI/ML-based approaches for wireless communication, including RAN optimization, resource management, network intelligence, and AI-native wireless technologies.
- Analyze and implement technologies based on 3GPP specifications and O-RAN architecture.
- Track the latest developments in 5G-Advanced, 6G, O-RAN, and AI-RAN, and contribute to technology roadmap and R&D planning.
- Participate in technical discussions and standardization activities with 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, AI-RAN Alliance, and other industry organizations.
- Collaborate with R&D teams, customers, telecom operators, technology partners, and ecosystem partners to develop and deploy innovative solutions.
- Conduct technical research and contribute to patents, technical publications, and intellectual property development.
- Support the transition of research and algorithm innovations from prototype to commercial deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Wireless Communications, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in wireless communications, RAN, communication algorithms, or related R&D.
- Strong understanding of LTE/4G, 5G NR, RAN technologies, and 3GPP specifications.
- Experience in wireless communication algorithm development, such as PHY, signal processing, MIMO, beamforming, resource allocation, scheduling, or network optimization.
- Knowledge of O-RAN architecture and next-generation RAN technologies.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning / Deep Learning, with experience applying AI/ML to wireless communication or RAN systems preferred.
- Strong programming and algorithm development skills, preferably with C/C++ and/or Python.
- Strong research, problem-solving, and technical innovation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to collaborate with international teams and participate in technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with telecom operators, network equipment vendors, semiconductor companies, or wireless technology companies.
- Experience with 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, or AI-RAN Alliance standardization activities.
- Experience in 5G-Advanced, 6G, AI-RAN, RIC, xApp/rApp, or AI-native wireless technologies.
- Experience with patents, IEEE publications, technical papers, or industry contributions.
- Experience taking wireless algorithms or AI-RAN technologies from research/prototype to production or commercial deployment.
