Position Overview
The Wholesale Trade Manager oversees all wholesale trading operations, driving sales growth, building strong relationships with suppliers and customers, and ensuring efficient supply-chain and inventory management. This role is responsible for expanding market reach, optimizing pricing strategies, and leading a team to achieve high-performance results within the wholesale trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute strategies to grow wholesale sales and market share.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
Negotiate and finalize deals with key accounts, distributors, and suppliers.
Set pricing, discounts, and margin strategies to maximize profitability.
Supplier & Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and key clients.
Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms.
Handle major customer accounts and resolve high-level inquiries or issues.
Inventory & Operations Management
Oversee inventory planning, stock movement, and replenishment.
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth operations.
Monitor product performance, slow-moving stock, and market trends.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, and guide the wholesale operations and sales team.
Set KPIs and performance goals for team members.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
Financial Planning & Reporting
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and cost analyses.
Monitor revenue, expenses, and profit margins.
Present monthly performance reports to senior management.
