We have a career opportunity for the position of Welder and invite industry practitioners to join us in our mission.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and select suitable welding methods and equipment based on job requirements.
- Prepare and set up components for welding in accordance with specifications (e.g., cutting materials to required measurements using powered tools).
- Use angle grinders to clean and prepare surfaces prior to welding.
- Measure, position, and secure components using tools such as calipers, rulers, and clamps.
- Perform welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Carry out repairs on machinery and components by welding and filling gaps where required.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe condition at all times.
- Work closely with fitters and supervisors to follow job instructions.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder.
- Familiarity with a range of welding equipment and processes (e.g., TIG, ARC, MIG).
- Experience using both electrical and manual tools (e.g., saws, squares, calipers).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of protective equipment (e.g., face shields, gloves).
- Professional Welding Certification is required.
