Welding supervisor

Report to: QA/QC Manager

Min Qualifications / Experience:

CSWIP Welding Inspector Level 2

Job Skills Required:

Knowledge of various codes (eg: AWS, ASME, PD5500, AS3992, etc) for welding.

Knowledge of various welding processes

Knowledge of welding of various materials

Responsible for/authorised to:

a) Responsible for the daily monitoring of Quality Inspection activities for welding activities in accordance with approved drawings, standards & codes and client specifications.

b) Monitoring of issuing of welding consumables.

c) Calculation of welding consumable requirements.

d) Calibration monitoring of welding machine and ovens for electrodes and flux.

e) Perform visual inspection on completed welds before radiographic testing.

f) Checking of welding consumables in project store.

g) To assist in qualifying Welding Procedures and Welders Qualification tests.

h) Feedback of inspection results to Welding / QA/QC Engineer.

i) Monitor and report to Welding Engineer on current product quality level and prepare the failure reports (eg weld repair rate, NCR etc)

Any adhoc assignments given by QA/QC Manager.
