Job Description
ASTE Global Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, smooth coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, safety, and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing warehouse staff, improving operational processes, and ensuring timely fulfilment of customer orders. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and experience in warehouse operations within the marine, industrial, or logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control across all warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with procurement and supply teams.
Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely processing and delivery of customer orders.
- Monitor delivery performance and implement improvements to enhance on-time delivery.
- Manage warehouse layout and space optimisation to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of marine and industrial products.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, coordinators, and warehouse assistants.
- Manage manpower planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Train staff on warehouse procedures, safety practices, and operational standards.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement warehouse SOPs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Implement warehouse systems or digital tools where applicable to enhance operational productivity.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with company policies and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for inventory and logistics activities.
- Record and address operational issues or customer complaints related to warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse processes, and logistics coordination.
- Experience in marine, industrial supply, or engineering-related industries will be an advantage.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
