Job Description
The client is a globally recognized conglomerate and a Fortune 500 company with presence across America, Europe and Asia Pacific. They are currently expanding their footprint in APAC and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to be based here in Singapore.
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing warehouse team while improving operational efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will promote effective communication, employee engagement, and process optimization in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that offers opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.
- Lead and motivate a team of operations associates to consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
- Recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and develop warehouse employees, including team leads.
- Partner closely with the sales team to anticipate operational requirements, strengthen confidence in warehouse capabilities, and ensure outstanding customer service.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with leadership, sales, customer service, transportation, facilities, finance, audit, corporate quality, and other internal teams.
- Develop and implement new processes and procedures, prepare cost estimates, oversee maintenance activities, and evaluate overall site performance.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, accuracy, error rates, and other key performance indicators, making adjustments as needed.
- Oversee safety programs and ensure the protection of employees, equipment, and company property.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable government and regulatory standards.
- Develop staffing plans to maintain appropriate workforce levels while managing labor expenses, overtime, employee retention, and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse supervisory experience required 5 years preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising inventory control and cycle-counting activities required 5 years preferred.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated experience with material handling and warehouse processes.
- Excellent ability to collaborate with warehouse employees, internal departments, customers, sales teams, and vendors.
- Proven ability to create a collaborative work environment, establish clear expectations, and maintain accountability.
- Experience identifying employee development needs and implementing organizational or process changes.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse and distribution best practices, quality management systems, and facility maintenance.
- Proficiency with computer applications and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
