1. Job Purpose
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of plant warehouse operations and 3PL coordination, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient stock movement, optimized space utilization, and safe traffic flow within the warehouse premises. The role drives operational excellence, process improvement, manpower planning, and service level performance across inbound, storage, and outbound activities.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Warehouse & Plant Inventory Management
. Oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, dispatch, and stock transfers.
. Ensure accurate plant inventory control and system integrity (SAP).
. Monitor all stock movements (GR, GI, transfers, adjustments) and ensure compliance with process controls.
. Lead cycle counts and annual stock takes ensure reconciliation accuracy and root cause analysis of variances
. Ensure FIFO compliance where applicable.
. Manage inventory aging and minimize write-offs and obsolescence.
2.2 3PL Management
. Manage 3PL warehouse coordination including service level performance and cost control.
. Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, OTIF, picking accuracy, and reconciliation accuracy.
. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions.
. Ensure contractual compliance and continuous service improvement.
2.3 Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency.
. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process controls.
. Optimize warehouse space utilization and layout planning.
. Improve handling efficiency and productivity metrics (e.g., EHU per manhour).
. Lead and participate in digitalization or initiatives where applicable.
2.4 Manpower Planning & Leadership
. Develop manpower plans aligned with operational volume and business growth.
. Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and operators.
. Set performance targets and conduct regular performance evaluations.
. Foster a high-performance and safety-first culture.
2.5 Traffic & Safety Management
. Manage warehouse traffic control to ensure safe vehicle and pedestrian movement.
. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
. Conduct risk assessments and enforce corrective actions.
. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S implementation.
2.6 Reporting & Governance
. Monitor and report warehouse KPIs (inventory accuracy, productivity, OTIF, error rate).
. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal controls.
. Support working capital optimization initiatives.
. Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Finance.
3. Qualifications & Experience
. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
. Minimum 5-8 years of warehouse management experience in manufacturing or FMCG environment.
. Experience managing plant warehouse and 3PL operations.
. Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.
. Experience with SAP/WMS systems.
. Proven track record in process improvement and manpower planning.
