Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, stocking, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure efficient layout and organization of warehouse space to optimize workflow and storage capacity.
- Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse processes.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts and cycle checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Work with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to forecast and plan inventory requirements.
3. Team Leadership
- Manage, train, and supervise warehouse staff including supervisors, forklift drivers, and storekeepers.
- Develop work schedules and allocate tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement staff development plans.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with workplace safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and enforce best practices in equipment handling and storage.
- Maintain proper documentation aligned with company and regulatory standards.
5. Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN, 5S, etc.).
- Streamline workflows to enhance productivity and reduce operational cost.
- Adopt technology solutions (e.g., WMS, barcode systems) to increase accuracy and efficiency.
6. Reporting & KPIs
- Generate regular operational reports (inventory levels, order fulfilment accuracy, throughput, cost metrics).
- Track and monitor key warehouse KPIs and implement action plans to achieve targets.
- Communicate operational updates and issues to management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
Skills & Competencies

- Knowledge of forklift and other warehouse equipment operations (preferably certified).
