Warehouse Manager - Cargo, Oil & Gas & Breakbulk
Our client, a logistics service provider is seeking to fill the following role :-
Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing daily warehouse and yard operations handling general cargo, oil & gas equipment, and breakbulk/project cargo, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations in line with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, storage, handling, and dispatch of cargo, including oversized and breakbulk items.
- Plan warehouse and yard layout for heavy-lift and non-containerized cargo.
- Coordinate loading/unloading using forklifts, cranes, and other MHE.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE, ISO, and client SOPs, especially for oil & gas cargo.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation (GRN, DO, tally, damage reports).
- Supervise warehouse staff and subcontractors manage manpower and shift planning.
- Liaise with operations, transporters, surveyors, and clients to support project and time-critical shipments.
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, cargo condition, and operational costs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with supervisory exposure.
- Experience handling oil & gas, project cargo, or breakbulk preferred.
- Basic knowledge of heavy-lift operations and safe cargo handling.
- Familiar with WMS / ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Marine agency or port logistics exposure will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and safety mindset.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- Forklift license, lifting or HSE-related certifications are advantageous.
