Job Description
- Managing day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities
- Leading, coaching and developing warehouse personnel to achieve productivity, service and safety objectives
- Ensuring inventory accuracy through stock control processes, cycle counting activities and inventory reconciliation
- Implementing and improving operational procedures to enhance efficiency, service levels and warehouse performance
- Monitoring warehouse KPIs and preparing management reports on operational activities and inventory performance
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, transport providers and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics execution
- Ensuring compliance with workplace safety, quality standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe working environment
The Successful Applicant
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline
- Minimally 5 years of warehouse operations experience with at least 3 years in a people management capacity
- Experience within a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environment will be advantageous
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations and distribution processes
- Experience managing warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms and inventory control systems
- Proven ability to drive productivity improvements and operational excellence initiatives
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing warehouse KPIs, reporting and performance metrics
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and warehouse best practices
