Job Summary
The Warehouse Logistics Assistant supports daily warehouse and logistics operations by handling inventory accurately, operating forklifts safely, and coordinating timely deliveries to maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods and materials to ensure accurate inventory intake
- Pick, pack, and prepare goods for delivery or shipment to meet order requirements
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, and move stock within the warehouse
- Arrange stock properly and maintain warehouse cleanliness to support efficient operations
- Perform inventory checks and reconcile stock to maintain accurate records
- Assist in coordinating deliveries and scheduling logistics to ensure timely shipments
- Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation and records for operational tracking
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
- Support cycle counts and periodic stock take exercises to verify inventory accuracy
- Coordinate with internal departments and external transporters to facilitate smooth logistics
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a valid forklift license/certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or store operations
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse procedures
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP, or warehouse systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet operational deadlines
- Forklift operating experience
- Team player with good communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling
- Basic computer literacy
