We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the timely and accurate movement, storage, and organization of inventory. This role requires a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, sorting, and storing inventory in the correct locations within the warehouse.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all products are accounted for and properly packed.
Stock Movement: Use pallet jacks, or other equipment to move stock around the warehouse safely.
Receiving Shipments: Unload incoming shipments and verify items against packing lists and purchase orders.
Quality Control: Inspect items for damage and report discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
Stock Replenishment: Assist in maintaining stock levels and ensuring shelves are properly stocked and organized.
Inventory Audits: Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory checks.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Documentation: Accurately maintain records of inventory movement, shipping logs, and other warehouse-related documents.
Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and management to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is a plus but not required.
Ability to operate warehouse machinery (pallet jacks, etc.) preferred.
Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
Basic math skills for inventory counting and order fulfillment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
