Responsibilities
- Unload pallets from incoming containers using a forklift.
- Conduct inbound verification through visual checks or scanning methods.
- Execute break-bulk procedures from mixed SKU pallets or cartons.
- Perform put-away tasks to selective racking or shelving requires operation of a reach truck for selective racking.
- Pick items from selective racking or shelving requires operation of a reach truck for selective racking.
- Carry out outbound verification through visual checks or scanning methods.
- Pack multiple items into cartons for shipment.
- Conduct stock counts and identify discrepancies as necessary.
- Maintain housekeeping according to directives from the direct supervisor.
- Conduct daily pre-inspections of relevant material handling equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks.
- Promptly report any irregularities to the direct supervisor.
Requirements
- Certification as a forklift driver.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a warehouse assistant.
- Experience operating both forklifts and reach trucks.
- Proficient in scanning operations regardless of the system.
- Ability to respond quickly and report irregularities.
- Strong attention to accuracy in counting and verification.
- Committed to completing tasks within set turnaround times.
- Adherence to established procedures is essential.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities is an added advantage.
