Job Description


Warehouse Assistant Manager

oversees daily operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping, while supervising staff and ensuring safety compliance.

Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, packing, and dispatching goods to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment.

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff to maintain high productivity and a safe working environment.

Inventory Control: Ensure high inventory accuracy through regular stock checks, audits, and handling discrepancies.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.

Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to boost operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to meet inventory needs and delivery schedules.

Liaising closely with internal departments to fulfil customers orders on time and stock accuracy.

Meet key operational performance indicators and targets set by Management

Maintain a high level of service and operational efficiency at all times

To maintain and update SOPs whenever necessary.

To review and implement best industry and safety practices

Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met at all times

Any ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time

  • Ensure customer needs are met and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Oversee full branch operations, including succession planning and staff retention.
  • Manage staff performance, development, and operational compliance.
  • Promote service excellence and foster a service-oriented team culture.
  • Monitor and control warehouse operational costs and budgets.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly reports on operations, sales, productivity, and finances.
  • Ensure timely collections and resolve overdue payments efficiently.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and claims promptly.
  • Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and security standards in the workplace.
  • Implement continuous process improvements, SOP updates, and 5S methodologies.
  • Manage inventory, assets, and manpower to ensure productivity and accuracy.
  • Plan and execute client projects, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Serve as main point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Oversee contractor and supplier negotiations, ensuring adherence to ISO standards.
