Roles & Responsibilities
A Waiter Supervisor oversees and directs the work of waitstaff in a restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service and high customer satisfaction. This includes managing staff, training new hires, resolving customer issues, and maintaining quality standards. They are responsible for the overall customer experience in the dining area, including the cleanliness and ambiance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the team of waiters to ensure efficient service.
- Train and mentor staff on service standards, customer interaction, and restaurant policies.
- Monitor dining operations to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.
- Manage shift schedules, staff performance, and task assignments.

Key Responsibilities of a Waiter Supervisor:
- Supervision and Leadership:Directing and coordinating the activities of waitstaff, including assigning tasks, managing schedules, and providing guidance.
- Service Quality:Monitoring and ensuring the delivery of prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service.
- Customer Interaction:Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Coordination:Working with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Training and Development:Training and mentoring waitstaff on service standards, customer interaction, and restaurant policies.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene:Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.
- Inventory Management:Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring adequate stock.
- Compliance:Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and restaurant policies and procedures.
- Reporting and Documentation:Keeping records of daily operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the F&B.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety standards.
- Able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
