Supervise daily front-of-house operations in the caf/restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Lead, guide and motivate waiters/waitresses and service crew during shifts.
Arrange staff duty roster, table assignment and ensure sufficient manpower during peak hours.
Greet customers warmly, allocate tables and ensure high service standards at all times.
Assist in taking orders, serving food and beverages and handling special requests when necessary.
Ensure all staff follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for service, hygiene and safety.
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and escalate to manager when required.
Check table settings, cleanliness of dining area, counter and cashier area before, during and after operations.
Supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, locking up, and handover.
Coordinate closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food orders.
Monitor inventory of service items (cutlery, crockery, napkins, condiments, etc.) and report low stock for replenishment.
Train new service staff on menu knowledge, customer service, POS usage and company SOPs.
Ensure all staff comply with SFA and company hygiene standards, including personal grooming and cleanliness.
Perform waiter/waitress duties when required and any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Restaurant / Caf Manager.
