Job Description

Overview

Our client is a leading financial services organisation with a global footprint and a strong focus on technology resilience, risk management, and cybersecurity. They are seeking a Vulnerability Management Lead (SVP) to drive enterprise-wide vulnerability operations and strengthen the organisation's ability to identify, prioritise, and remediate security exposures across complex technology environments.

Role

The successful candidate will lead the vulnerability operations function, setting the strategic direction for vulnerability management across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid platforms. This includes overseeing scanning, assessment, remediation governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will work closely with technology, risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity priorities are aligned with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and enterprise risk appetite. The individual will also build and lead a high-performing global team, introduce automation and analytics to improve remediation effectiveness, and communicate key cyber risk themes to senior stakeholders in a clear and practical manner.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of cybersecurity experience, including significant senior leadership experience in vulnerability management or technology risk operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, regulatory expectations, enterprise risk, and technology control environments.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale cybersecurity programmes across complex global technology estates.
  • Deep knowledge of vulnerability management platforms, exposure assessment, penetration testing, threat intelligence, continuous testing, automation, and AI-enabled security capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Security, or related disciplines; certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC would be advantageous.
