VTL Machinist - Aerospace

Description

We are seeking an experienced VTL Machinist specializing in aerospace components to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-8 years of experience in precision machining, particularly with Vertical Turning Lathes. You will be responsible for setting up and operating VTLs to produce high-quality aerospace parts, ensuring adherence to strict engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of machining processes, quality control, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

·       Set up jigs, fixtures, and tooling required for machining

·       Operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL and milling machines

·       Perform in-process inspection on machining parts using precision gauges and micrometer

·       Comply with engine manuals, technical data, and work instructions for all machining operation

·       Initiate and suggest continuous improvement ideas to improve process, productivity, and quality

·       Perform TPMs

·       Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area

·       Comply with safety rules and regulations during course of duties

·       Perform Sheetmetal work as and when required

·       Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

·       Must be able to operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL and Milling machine

·       Good knowledge in machining processes and able to read and understand blueprints with

·       Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

·       Able to use standard measuring instruments

·       Proficient in both spoken and written English

·       Must have VTL Experience
