Job Description

This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of infrastructure-related products and services, covering product lifecycle management as well as hands-on infrastructure engineering. The position ensures delivery of secure, resilient, and compliant infrastructure platforms that meet business and regulatory requirements while supporting technology modernization and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership and Management

  • Own the delivery, support, and lifecycle management of a portfolio of infrastructure products and services.
  • Define and manage product roadmaps by analyzing business demand, feedback, and future technology needs.
  • Oversee product planning, engineering, security, compliance, supplier engagement, and adoption strategies.
  • Manage procurement activities, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
  • Research, evaluate, and assess feasibility of new technologies to enhance infrastructure products.
  • Design, build, and implement pilots or proof-of-concepts to validate new solutions.
  • Present infrastructure product offerings and roadmaps to business and technology stakeholders when required.

Infrastructure Engineering and Operations

  • Build, operate, and support highly available, secure, and recoverable infrastructure platforms in compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, virtualization platforms, and third-party software across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Perform server hardening, configuration management, and security baseline enforcement.
  • Manage file systems, system backups, restorations, and anti-malware platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address capacity, stability, and reliability issues.
  • Implement disaster recovery plans and participate in DR testing and exercises.
  • Track and execute end-of-life and end-of-support remediation, technology refresh, and patching activities.

Delivery, Governance and Risk Management

  • Support solution design, build, testing, and deployment in partnership with architecture, service build, change, control, and recovery teams.
  • Establish and implement Infrastructure as Code standards, tools, and automation processes.
  • Investigate infrastructure-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation actions.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Engage external vendors to support infrastructure design, delivery, and operational objectives.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in server and system administration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • At least 5 years of experience engineering, building, configuring, and deploying infrastructure solutions across on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud environments.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Proficiency in operating systems including Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Unix.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong understanding of system security, compliance controls, and regulatory expectations in a banking environment.
