VP/SVP, Internal Audit - Corporate & Investment Banking

Our client is a leading financial institution with a strong regional presence. It is seeking to hire a VP/SVP, Internal Audit - Corporate & Investment Banking based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading and executing audit engagements across Corporate & Investment Banking businesses, covering areas such as corporate banking, trade finance, markets, treasury and compliance/AML. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, you will assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identify key risk areas, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen governance and risk management frameworks. This is a high-visibility role with exposure to regional operations, where you will work closely with business and functional leaders across Asia to drive audit excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate is a degree-qualified professional with strong experience in internal/external audit within Corporate Banking or Corporate & Investment Banking.
• You should have a solid understanding of banking products and associated risks, with proven ability to operate independently in a hands-on capacity. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a meticulous and structured approach to audit execution.
• External audit experience is required, and professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA will be advantageous. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks across Asia is a plus.
