Job Description

The Vice President, Product Insights is an individual contributor role within Group Transaction Banking (GTB), responsible for driving product analytics, commercial insights, and strategic initiatives across the transaction banking product portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Product Insights, the role focuses on strengthening commercialization, competitive positioning, and operational excellence through data-driven decision support.

Key Responsibilities

Product Insights & Analytics Strategy

  • Support the establishment of a Product Insights Centre of Excellence across cash management, trade finance, and digital transaction banking channels.
  • Contribute to defining strategic direction for insight generation, data governance, data monetization, and analytics capability development.

Strategic Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Prepare executive-level materials including business review packs, steering committee updates, and project communications.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Commercial & Sales Enablement

  • Generate actionable insights to support product commercialization and sales efforts using client transaction, adoption, and usage data.
  • Analyze ecosystem and flow data to identify opportunities to improve product penetration and client engagement.

Client & Relationship Insights

  • Develop relationship-level insights to support bundling strategies, pricing models, and advisory tools for transaction banking sales and product teams.
  • Translate complex data into practical recommendations to enhance client value propositions.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct market, competitor, and client assessments to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Translate insights into clear product strategies, enhancements, and go-to-market recommendations.

Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support development of insights-driven narratives for external communications, thought leadership, and industry award submissions.
  • Coordinate with group, country, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution of initiatives.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

Experience & Technical Capability

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in transaction banking, management consulting, or product/client analytics.
  • Prior experience in top-tier consulting firms or strategy functions within wholesale banks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and writing capability with experience producing insight-led narratives and executive recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience building executive dashboards.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Qlik Sense is highly desirable.
