Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced operational risk professional to lead the Singapore and Hong Kong ORM function. This role provides independent second-line oversight of operational and non-financial risks, ensuring risk frameworks, controls, and reporting are robust and aligned with regulatory expectations. The position partners with senior management and first-line teams to drive sound risk outcomes and promote a strong risk culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational risk activities, including risk and control assessments, incident management, root cause analysis, remediation, and KRI monitoring.
- Lead end-to-end coordination of independent assurance engagements (e.g., ISAE 3402 audits), ensuring high-quality delivery and remediation tracking.
- Provide independent challenge and pragmatic risk advice to senior management and committees on business initiatives, change programmes, and operational risk matters.
- Prepare timely and accurate operational risk reporting for management and governance forums.
- Lead and develop the ORM team, fostering accountability, technical capability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive experience in operational or enterprise risk management within regulated financial services, preferably asset or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, control design, and non-financial risk management practices.
- Proven ability to provide independent challenge to senior management and committees.
- Experience overseeing audits or independent assurance engagements and driving remediation.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
