The Singapore site acts as a regional hub for engineering, R&D support and customer collaboration, featuring dedicated labs and technical expertise. Its mission is to drive innovation, operational excellence, and customer success across the semiconductor value chain.
The Role
Lead the Singapore site to implement R&D strategy aligned with HQ directives. Drive engineering targets, resource optimization, and compliance with standards while supporting Asia-wide business and technology objectives.
- Strategic leadership: in defining engineering targets, project roadmaps, and KPIs; contribute to Asia engineering strategy; represent site in Steco meeting
- Resource & Budget Management: Plan and control resources; monitor R&D budget (full time employee, cost centers, projects); ensure timely delivery of new product development within spec and budget.
- Technical Ownership: Ensure compliance with SEMI standards; implement Product Innovation Process; maintain development infrastructure.
- Technology Management: Drive make-or-buy decisions and outsourcing strategies.
- Communication & Representation: Coordinate with HQ R&D, Product Marketing, Tech Support, and Operations; represent site externally.
- Operational Support: Maintain production documentation; oversee 3rd-level technical support for Operations and Product Marketing.
The Talent
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related discpline, MBA/Marketing is an added advantage.
- 10+ years in equipment manufacturing field with proven operations leadership experience.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication, multicultural skills, integrity, flexibility; ability to work under pressure and travel.
