Job Description:
The Technology function is responsible for activitiesrelated to the strategic direction and control of all information systems andtechnology capabilities, both internally and externally. Includes system designand programming, network planning, budget planning, database management, andcomputer operations.
- Manage new solutions involving Enterprise and Regional LAN and WAN network infrastructure, including Data Centre network, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Network link/load balancers, and other internet enabling technology and appliances.
- Work with Enterprise Architects to define architecture and solution blocks. Understand business needs and ability to define product and service roadmap, including financial and budget planning. Document system requirement for end to end execution cross team.
- Focus on establishing governance, grid and solution profile and playbook to allow cross team deployment and changes.
- Ensure projects are deployed end-to-end, and properly hardened and promoted to production. Document knowledge transfer to cross-team to facilitate Level 1 and 2 support. Continue to own L3 SME support for in-flight projects or complex issues.
- Define IT network standards and adhering to security and patching policies.
- Seek outside in and bring forth new technology, put in place governance and processes.
- Participate in change management and operations making sure that hardware and software is up to date.
- Planning, designing and configuring cloud services.
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company policies and security guidelines.
- Interacting with users, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on user needs.
- Using extensive knowledge of APIs to design and create custom cloud automation and integrations with other systems
- Participate in follow-the-sun routine support schedule.
