We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst at VP level to join our Digital Asset team within a leading bank. In this role, you will ber esponsible for bridging business needs and technology solutions across digital asset initiatives, including cryptocurrency, tokenisation, blockchain-based products, and custody services. You will work closely with product, technology, compliance, and operations teams to deliver innovative and regulated digital asset capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis for digital asset programmes, including tokenisation platforms, crypto trading, digital custody, and staking services.
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications for digital asset products.
- Work with product managers, traders, operations, and compliance teams to define end-to-end workflows for digital asset lifecycles (e.g., issuance, transfer, custody, settlement).
- Partner with technology teams to design solutions using blockchain protocols (Ethereum, Hyperledger, etc.), smart contracts, and integration with core banking systems.
- Support regulatory and risk assessments, ensuring digital asset solutions comply with MAS regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and industry standards.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
- Manage requirements traceability, conduct gap analysis, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production rollout.
- Stay current with digital asset market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to inform product roadmaps.
Key Requirements
Experience & Domain Knowledge
- Minimum 12 years of business analysis experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3-5 years focused on digital assets, blockchain, or cryptocurrency.
- Proven experience working on digital asset initiatives such as tokenisation, crypto trading, digital custody, DeFi integration, or stablecoin projects.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals (e.g., Ethereum, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, wallets, private/public keys).
- Familiarity with digital asset custody models, trading lifecycle, and post-trade processing is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements for digital assets (e.g., Payment Services Act, tokenisation guidelines) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to bridge technical and business stakeholders including traders, product owners, compliance officers, and developers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to lead requirements gathering across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CSPO, Agile (SAFe, Scrum) , or Blockchain-specific certifications (e.g., CBP, Ethereum Developer) are advantageous.
- Experience with digital asset custody platforms (e.g., Fireblocks, Metaco, BitGo) or crypto exchange integration.
- Knowledge of DeFi protocols, NFTs, or institutional staking.
