Our client is a well-established International Bank who have operations across, Global Markets and Investment Banking who have a strong presence in Singapore. They are seeking a VP- Loan Operations to join and lead the loan operations division.

Key responsibilities

Portfolio & Trade Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end loan processing, validate deal documentation, ensure accurate system/product setup.
Risk, Controls & Governance: Maintain strong operational controls, perform root cause analyses, implement action plans, and report risk and control updates to senior management while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Front-to-Back Expertise: Deep understanding of trade flows, P&L, and risk management, assessing new product initiatives to ensure operational readiness and control coverage.
Stakeholder & External Relationship Management: Serve as main operational contact for Front Office, regional teams, and external parties, driving deal origination, product launches, complex transactions, and timely trade execution and settlement.
Process Improvement & Automation: Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, digitalize processes, implement best practices, and use data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Role requirements

Loan Operations Expertise: 10+ years supporting syndicated loans, bilateral lending and agency servicing, with experience reviewing trade documentation per LMA/APLMA standards and working with Loan IQ.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in leading teams, managing multiple priorities, communicating confidently with stakeholders, and escalating issues appropriately under tight deadlines.
Transaction Management & Risk Oversight: Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with proven ability to handle complex transactions, resolve exceptions, and control operational risks.
Analytical & Process Improvement Mindset: Self-driven and adaptable, proactively recommending process enhancements and solving challenges in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
