The Role:
We are partnering with an Asian Wholesale Bank in hiring a
Vice President (Legal) to join its Singapore Legal & Compliance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to deepen their exposure within a dynamic banking environment across the Asia Pacific region. In this role, you will provide end-to-end legal advisory support across a broad range of transactional matters, including corporate lending (both bilateral and syndicated deals), GMRA master agreements, and various commercial contracts supporting the bank's Singapore branch operations. You will also play a key role in interpreting Singapore banking laws and regulations, supporting corporate secretarial compliance, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
Key Requirements
- LL.B. qualified with at least 8-10+ years PQE, ideally 2 years in-house at a bank/financial institution
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financial and commercial agreements including GMRA documentation
- Sound understanding of Singapore banking regulations, with the ability to provide practical, risk-based legal advice
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach
