Job Description
Role Purpose
The Leasing Lead is responsible for the strategic oversight, governance, and execution of all leased‑in real estate activities across Singapore and UOB's overseas portfolio. The role provides leadership on lease strategy, space optimization, financial management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and banking standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert for all lease‑in transaction activities across Singapore and the regional
- Develop, implement and refine the end‑to‑end lease management operating model
- Drive lease strategies including acquisitions, renewals, terminations and closures
- Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Lead negotiations with landlords on rental levels and lease terms
- Own annual budget planning and manage rental expenses
- Lead internal rental recharge and financial coordination with internal Business Units and Finance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk and governance standards
- Serve as risk reporting custodian for regulatory reporting and periodic audit exercises
- Drive portfolio reporting, benchmarking and cost optimization initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Real Estate or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in property transaction and lease management
- Corporate real estate experience with large occupiers or financial institutions
- Professional certification such as RICS or MCR preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial, budgeting and P&L management skills
- Advanced negotiation and contract analysis capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex regional portfolios
- Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen
- Fluency in English; Mandarin preferred
