Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Vice President to lead and oversee the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting functions within Group Financial Control & Operations (GFCO). As a member of the GFCO leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering the department's mandate in accordance with agreed service level agreements, while upholding the Bank's financial control, governance, and risk management standards.
In this role, you will provide leadership over day‑to‑day finance operations, proactively identify and deliver optimisation opportunities, and partner closely with stakeholders across the Bank to drive sustainable improvements in efficiency, control, and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end‑to‑end Finance Operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with service level agreement, internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Perform timely and accurate invoice verification, payment processing, expense charge out. Ensuring appropriate authorization and adherence to established controls.
- Review staff claims to identify duplicate, non‑compliant, or inaccurate submissions, and recommend control enhancements.
- Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including billing, collections monitoring, receipting, and timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Annual review of Group Requisition, Procurement and Payment Policy and guideline
- Oversee mailbox and finance‑related enquiries, ensuring professional and timely responses.
Asset & Intercompany Accounting
- Manage asset accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, periodic asset verification, and reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Annual review of Fixed Asset guideline
- Oversee intercompany recharges and collection
Period-End Close & Reporting
- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Prepare and review periodic schedules, reports, reconciliations, ageing analysis, and management packs for AP, AR, and fixed assets.
Controls, Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure compliance with GST and other relevant regulatory and statutory requirements across all finance operations activities.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders (business units, procurement, treasury, IT, auditors) to resolve operational issues and strengthen financial controls.
Transformation, Systems & Leadership
- Participate in and, where required, lead process improvement, automation, system enhancement, and data analytics initiatives to improve efficiency, control, and scalability.
- Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes, new implementations, and finance process enhancements.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and review support to junior team members, fostering best practices, capability building, and knowledge transfer.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required to support GFCO and broader business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA, CPA).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Finance Operations and/or Financial Control, with strong hands‑on exposure to AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and GL controls.
- Strong working knowledge of GST and statutory reporting requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP (FI, AP, AR, AA) or similar ERP systems; exposure to finance transformation initiatives is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage complex operations, tight timelines, and multiple stakeholder expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and enhance control environments.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, and familiarity with automation and analytics tools (e.g. Python, Power BI).
