Job Description

Your New Company I am working on a confidential search with my client who is a globally established electronics manufacturer headquartered in China, with a strong footprint across multiple sites in Asia, Europe and the US, delivering highprecision components and advanced surfaceengineering solutions to customers in consumer electronics, industrial, medical and optical markets. They combine proprietary manufacturing processes, rigorous quality systems, and a robust IP portfolio to support longterm OEM partnerships and scalable production.

Your New Role Strategic Finance Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the principal finance partner to the CEO, providing forward looking insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision making.

  • Partner with the Board and Audit Committee by preparing high quality financial materials, analysis, and presentations, and participating in meetings as required.

  • Provide financial leadership on capital allocation, investment evaluation, and growth initiatives, ensuring disciplined decision making aligned with overall Group strategy.

Group Finance Operations & Oversight

  • Lead the Group's corporate finance functions, including group consolidation and external reporting, group FP&A consolidation, treasury and insurance, corporate tax, centre billing and accounts receivable, and working capital management.

  • Provide functional leadership to Site Finance Heads across Singapore, China, Japan, Vietnam, Germany, and US, ensuring consistent financial standards, controls, and performance management across manufacturing operations.

  • Drive strong financial discipline at site level, including oversight of cost structures, margin and yield related financial analysis, capital expenditure governance, and operational financial performance.

  • Strengthen finance operating models, systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality.

Financial Planning, Performance Management & Controls

  • Lead robust budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes across the Group.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to executive management and the Board.

  • Oversee internal control frameworks, risk management, and governance standards across all entities.

  • Act as the primary management interface with external auditors, advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives

  • Support the chairman and external advisors on corporate finance activities, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, financial due diligence, valuation, and transaction modelling.

  • Lead post transaction integration planning and execution from a finance perspective.

  • Partner with cross functional leaders to support strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and enterprise wide projects.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Build, develop, and lead a high performing finance organization with strong technical expertise and business partnering capabilities.

  • Coach and develop site finance leaders and corporate finance team members, with a strong focus on succession planning and capability development.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Key Qualifications For Success

  • Senior finance leader with deep experience in corporate finance, financial control, and performance management within a semiconductor or manufacturing intensive environment.

  • Comfortable operating as the most senior finance leader in the organization, while clearly positioned at VP level.

  • Proven track record in senior finance leadership roles such as VP Finance, Head of Corporate Finance, or Finance Director with regional or group wide scope.

  • Direct semiconductor experience is strongly preferred candidates with extensive exposure to semiconductor manufacturing finance and operating models similar in complexity will also be considered.

  • Strong technical grounding in group consolidation, group FP&A, treasury and insurance, tax, and internal controls, within a multi entity, multi country environment.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, investments, and other corporate finance initiatives, including financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, and post transaction integration.

  • Solid understanding of internal control frameworks, governance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience partnering with Boards, Audit Committees, and external auditors.

  • Exposure to China operations and regulatory environments is advantageous.

  • Mandarin proficiency is strongly preferred English fluency is required.
