This role will work closely with senior stakeholders, investment principals, portfolio companies, external advisors, and banking partners to support long-term value creation while preserving the entrepreneurial and agile approach of the family office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Investment Committee discussions and provide structured financial, analytical, and strategic input.
  • Support evaluation of new investments, follow-on investments, and opportunities within the existing portfolio.
  • Prepare financial models, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and investment review materials.
  • Provide data-backed insights to support capital deployment, portfolio rebalancing, and exit considerations.

3. Portfolio Company Oversight

  • Participate selectively in board, advisory, or observer roles for portfolio companies.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio companies against agreed plans, budgets, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure shareholder rights and commercial interests are protected, particularly during follow-on rounds, restructuring, exits, or strategic transactions.
  • Support portfolio companies on financial discipline, reporting standards, governance, capital efficiency, and exit readiness.

4. Risk, Treasury & Currency Management

  • Establish practical frameworks for currency exposure, liquidity planning, concentration risk, and downside protection.
  • Oversee treasury planning, cash flow alignment, and banking relationships across the family office and related entities.
  • Implement appropriate hedging and risk management approaches in collaboration with external advisors and banking partners.
  • Monitor financial, liquidity, market, currency, and portfolio concentration risks.

5. Governance & Decision Support

  • Introduce structured reporting, review cadences, and governance processes across investment and portfolio matters.
  • Support clarity around decision-making processes, approval thresholds, and escalation protocols.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to enhance transparency, accountability, and financial discipline.
  • Maintain an appropriate balance between institutional discipline and entrepreneurial agility.

6. Strategic Finance Oversight

  • Align cash flows and financial reporting across portfolio entities and investment structures.
  • Oversee audits, financial consolidation processes, and management reporting where required.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and long-term financial strategy.
  • Work with tax, legal, audit, and corporate service providers to ensure sound financial governance and compliance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CFA, ACCA, MBA, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Approximately 10–15 years of relevant experience across strategic finance, corporate finance, investment management, portfolio management, treasury, transaction advisory, private equity, family office, or investment holding environments.
  • Strong financial modelling, investment analysis, portfolio reporting, and scenario planning capabilities.
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders, investment committees, boards, shareholders, or family principals.
  • Good understanding of multi-asset portfolios, capital allocation, treasury management, liquidity planning, risk management, and governance.
  • Prior exposure to private markets, operating businesses, portfolio companies, investment holding structures, or family office environments would be highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance governance, financial discipline, and entrepreneurial decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear, practical recommendations.
  • High level of discretion, maturity, and integrity, given the confidential nature of family office matters.
