The Head of
Digital Engagement leads a highimpact
transformation unit mandated to solve the bank's most complex crossfunctional pain points. This team conducts deep diagnostic reviews within Business Units (BUs) and Support Units, designs integrated solutions using the bank's enterprise capabilitiesincluding
AI/ML agents, data platforms, analytics services, workflow and automation engines, blockchain/tokenisation capabilities, microservices, APIs, integration platforms, and
netnew services that must be built to close capability gaps.
Responsibilities
- Build reusable solution blueprints and accelerators
- Convert repeated patterns of problems into enterprisewide solution templates, including reference architectures, process templates, integration patterns, API standards, and automation playbooks.
- Collaborate with technology and domain teams to formalise blueprints into reusable modules, ensuring technology consistency, regulatory compliance, and auditability.
- Establish a repository of organisational knowledge to enable faster solutioning, easier scaling across markets, and improved timetovalue.
- Responsible for platform monetization
- Develop and execute strategies for monetising platform capabilities.
- Determine pricing models, value exchange structures, and partnership commercial frameworks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to track monetisation KPIs and drive platform revenue growth.
- Orchestrate capabilities across the Innovation Group to create integrated solutions
- Align and unify the capabilities across AI, Data, Blockchain, Automation, and Developer Platforms to deliver converged, multidomain solutions.
- Drive solution alignment across squads and eliminate fragmentation by establishing cohesive design principles.
- Ensure solutions comply with governance policies and framework.
- Identify and operationalise partnerships to build connectivity and the network ecosystem
- Build and deepen partnerships across fintechs and service providers.
- Deploy a structured partner onboarding process including sandbox access, technical certification, datasharing agreements, security assessments, and commercial alignment.
- Develop partnership roadmaps that expand network capabilities.
- Responsible for Business Model Innovation, Process Automation & Convergence Delivery
- Lead the design and testing of new business model constructs.
- Reimagine business processes through automation and intelligent workflow orchestration.
- Build crossfunctional delivery squads that implement these changes and drive measurable improvements in productivity and customer experience.
- Incubate and productise Data, AI, and Blockchain capabilities
- Run systematic experimentation cycles using emerging technologies and convert promising prototypes into consumable enterprise services.
- Ensure new capabilities have clear documentation, governance frameworks, SLAs, run books, and adoption pathways.
- Build a culture of rapid innovation and crossdomain engineering
- Model behaviours associated with innovation excellenceexperimentation, openness, systems thinking, and solutiondriven engineering.
- Coach teams to be handson with problem exploration, storyboarding, prototyping, and iterative delivery.
- Partner with Innovation Academy and HR to uplift skills across design thinking, data storytelling, agile delivery, AI literacy, and modern engineering practices.
- Facilitate structured, endtoend discovery workshops
- Design and run highquality discovery sessions with stakeholders across business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology.
- Conduct ecosystem and valueflow mapping, persona analysis, workflow and dataflow documentation, and identification of pain points and unmet needs.
- Elicit, refine, and validate requirements through scenario walkthroughs, service blueprinting, and futureback solution envisioning.
- Ensure disciplined capture of insights, evidence, and assumptions.
- Codevelop futurestate process flows, target architecture concepts, integration needs, and valuedriver hypotheses
- Facilitate cocreation of futurestate journeys, process maps, architecture diagrams, domaindriven design structures, and capability models.
- Identify integration points across internal applications and external partner ecosystems, ensuring alignment with API/gateway standards, data interoperability, and privacy controls.
- Generate value hypotheses tied to revenue uplift, cost reductions, risk mitigation, and customer experience gains, supported by baseline metrics.
- Translate workshop outputs into formalised artefacts
- Produce clear, structured artefacts including BRDs, process maps, user stories, business cases, and value scorecards.
- Ensure artefacts are versioncontrolled, enterprisecompliant, auditable, and ready for handover to delivery teams.
- Align business, technology, risk, data, and governance partners on nextstep actions
- Lead alignment meetings that converge divergent interests and turn them into actionable, crossfunctional plans.
- Define ownership models, accountability matrices (e.g., RACI), guardrails, funding requirements, and sequencing for delivery.
- Maintain momentum through structured tracking mechanisms, steering committees, and transparent communication.
Qualifications
Core Experience Requirements
- 15+ years of experience across platform/ecosystem strategy, digital transformation, technology innovation, enterprise architecture, or product/platform engineering.
- Proven track record driving enterprisescale transformation involving multiple business units, regulators, and external partners.
- 10+ years leading highperforming, multidisciplinary teams in environments requiring rapid delivery, technical depth, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, integration architecture, eventdriven patterns.
- Good understanding of emerging technologies including AI, data and blockchain technologies, interoperability frameworks, and regulatory considerations.
- Handson programming capability in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js for rapid prototyping and technical evaluation.
Leadership & Behavioural Competencies
- Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable solution roadmaps.
- Strong storytelling and communication capabilities across executive audiences, regulators, and technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, resolve conflict, and drive alignment across disparate stakeholders.
- Buildermentor mindset: able to recruit, coach, develop, and retain top engineering and product talent.
