VP - Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our banking client's technology team. This role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable cloud solutions that support missioncritical financial services. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management skills to deliver innovative infrastructure strategies aligned with regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, VMware).

• Develop cloud architecture frameworks that ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance with banking regulations.

• Lead migration projects from onpremises systems to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and robust security.

• Collaborate with stakeholders including IT, security, and business teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals.

• Establish governance and best practices for cloud adoption, monitoring, and optimization.

• Integrate cloud services with existing banking applications, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.

• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams on cloud architecture and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3-5 years in cloud architecture.
• Strong expertise in Azure and AWS, including networking, security, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience working with containerization and microservices
• Experience working with big data infrastructure is a plus
  Handson experience with VMware, HyperV, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of banking industry standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., MAS, PCI DSS).
• Proven track record in cloud migration projects and infrastructure modernization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
